These terms govern your use of this website and, where an engagement letter does not say otherwise, the advisory services we provide.

About these terms

This website is operated by Smart Strategic Consulting LLC, registered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. By using this site you accept these terms. If you engage us for services, a separate engagement letter or proposal will set out the scope, fees and timeline for that specific work — where it conflicts with these terms, the engagement letter takes precedence.

Information on this website is general

The content on this site, including our service pages and articles, is general information about UAE business regulation. It is not legal, tax, financial or immigration advice, and it does not create an adviser–client relationship. Rules, thresholds and fees change, sometimes at short notice. Do not act on anything here without checking your own position with us or another qualified adviser.

Our services

We provide advisory and administrative support in relation to company formation, VAT and corporate tax registration, corporate banking introductions, mortgage arrangement and UAE Golden Visa applications. The precise scope of any engagement is defined in writing before work starts.

What we can and cannot promise

We can promise diligence, accurate preparation and honest advice about your prospects. We cannot promise an outcome that is not ours to give:

  • Approval decisions rest with government authorities, free zone authorities, banks and lenders — not with us
  • Processing times are set by those bodies and can change without notice
  • Bank account opening in particular is subject to each bank’s own compliance assessment, which we do not control
  • We are not a law firm, an audit firm or a licensed financial institution, and we do not hold ourselves out as one

Where an application is unsuccessful for reasons outside our control, we will tell you why as far as we are able to, and set out the realistic options.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete and current information and documentation
  • Tell us promptly if anything you have given us changes or turns out to be incorrect
  • Respond to requests for information within the timeframes we indicate — most delays originate here
  • Comply with the laws applicable to you and to your business
  • Pay government, authority and third-party fees when they fall due

We rely on the information you give us. We are not responsible for consequences arising from information that is inaccurate, incomplete or withheld.

Fees and payment

Our fees are quoted in writing before work begins. Government fees, authority charges, bank charges, attestation, translation, medical and courier costs are separate from our professional fee and are payable by you, whether directly or through us. Where a quotation is itemised, that itemisation is what governs.

Government and third-party fees are generally non-refundable once paid to the relevant body, including where an application is declined. Our own fees are payable for work performed. Refund terms specific to an engagement will be set out in the engagement letter.

Confidentiality

We treat your information and documents as confidential and disclose them only as required to deliver the engagement — to the relevant authorities, banks and service providers — or where we are legally obliged to. Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by UAE law, our total liability arising out of or in connection with an engagement is limited to the professional fees actually paid to us for that engagement. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of opportunity or business interruption. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for fraud.

Third-party links and content

This site links to third-party websites and embeds third-party content, such as maps. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices.

Intellectual property

The content, design, text and branding on this website belong to Smart Strategic Consulting LLC or our licensors. You may read, share and quote our articles with attribution and a link. You may not reproduce the site or substantial parts of it for commercial purposes without written permission.

Availability

We aim to keep this site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and we may change or withdraw content at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates as applied in the Emirate of Dubai. Disputes arising from them are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubai, unless an engagement letter provides otherwise.
